38 - get into my mind

ever since i woke up kevin has always been there. he was so sweet; he would just stay in my room to keep me company. but he would never tell me who he is, what is his relationship to me. every time i asked him that he had an urgent phone call or he had to use the bathroom. i knew he was just avoiding the answer and i was so desperate to know everything. a big man with salt and pepper hair came right after i woke up, his eyes were warm and full of concern, he told me he was my father. i really didn't hesitate in believing him, his eyes were just so inviting and we practically looked alike. he sat next to me and started to tell me everything about my childhood and my mother who passed away when i was 17. i tried asking him what was my relationship to kevin and he also didn't want to say anything.
it was about three thirty when kevin told me he was going home to take care of some business. as always he smiled at me and gave me a kiss on my cheek in which my heart fluttered as always. right when i finished my nasty hospital lunch someone knocked on my door. i told them to come in and in came three men in suits. one was burly with a huge beer belly reeking of stale cigarettes, the other one was tan skin, skinny, with a goatee, the final one was white, blonde hair, and very toned. they introduced themselves.
john- hello, ms zane i am detective lloyd and these are detective marquez and detective hart. (marks and santiago nod their heads towards her) we are here to ask you some questions about a mr. kevin jonas.
aubrey- (confused) um, okay.
santiago- we are investigating a couple murders which all link up to mr. jonas. have you seen him lately?
my breath got caught in my throat, my surroundings started to become blurry. oh my goodness, kevin is a murderer?! i couldn't believe this; he was so sweet and kind towards me. no wonder he never answered me when i asked him about himself. was i his next victim? was he responsible for my accident?!
aubrey- wait, kevin is a murderer?!
marks- yes ms. zane, there is a warrant for his arrest. we are suspecting that his next target was you.
aubrey- oh my god. (covers her mouth with her hand) i can't believe this.
john- well, ms. zane we will be looking for him. just remember to protect yourself he is a very dangerous man. (turns around and smirks, then leaves along with santiago and marks)
i didn't realize it then but i was shaking, was kevin really a murderer? i mean of course he is why would three random detectives come into my room to kid about that! i started to beat myself up for the fact that i was beginning to feel an attraction for kevin, i was basically going to sleep with the enemy!
i was looking forward to seeing him ever since he left and now all i wanted to do was lock my door and hide under the covers. i was so scared that he might come back and kill me. a couple hours passed by when i heard a knock on my door, i pulled up my covers over my head in a way of protecting myself. my heart flew down to my stomach when i heard a voice.
it was kevin.
