it was shot near seal island of cape hope, south africa. it was a real seal,not a prop, it would weigh about 300 to 600 lbs (140 to 280 kg.)and be around 6ft long. gives you an nidea of the size of that shark! this jumping or "breaching" has only been seen here; it occurs because there is a deep water trench before the safety of a shelf, the great whites zoom up at a 45 degree angle with great speed and momentum- the impactalone would kill a man"
