guilford, conn. -- a baby girl was struck in the face by a paintball while sitting in a parked car with her mother in guilford on thursday.
police said the 1-year-old child was being fed by her mother inside a parked vehicle in the parking lot of the cvs store on boston post road around 2 p.m.
police said orange paintballs were fired out of a passing vehicle. several unoccupied vehicles were struck before the paintball hit the child, according to police.
paramedics treated the baby, who suffered a welt on the side of her face, at the scene.
