This video was made from 8mm film in 1965 and depicts a condensed ocean surveilance patrol. these patrols were normally 10 to 12 hours in duration. the aircraft is a p5m/b seaplane, the last seaplane in the us navy. the flight began from sangly point naval station republic of the phillipines.
