From the second lp that was released in the u.s., by lolita, called "songs you will never forget - sung in german". the first album was the classic "sailor, sailor and lolita's greatest hits" (both were released on kapp records).
this lp was released to keep the momentum going and contains some really nice songs: i'll be uploading four tracks from the album. the liner notes are entirely in english, and here is what is says about "frag' nicht, warum ich gehe":
"a favorite all over the world, this famous ballad needs little introduction. it has been associated with many great artists, including richard tauber and marlene dietrich, and was composed by robert stolz for a musical comedy entitled "the song is ended". co-written by reisch and robinson, it does not give credit on the lp as to who the producer or musical director is.
