ikea is offering shoppers in new york a new experience, a water taxi to ferry them across the east river from downtown manhattan to its recently opened megastore in brooklyn.
it is a first for the company and is proving a big hit with customers, tourists and even commuters, because it is free of charge.
the water taxi runs every 40 minutes during store hours.
