The votes are in.... all 4 of them, heh.
metallica's guitar staple song: enter sandman off of their black album. truely a classic metal song that everyone that's into rock, or even punk should hear. kirk hammet is the brilliant guitarist that brings the lead to life in the lead, and the solo is just perfection in this song done in total wah-wah power.
it's a great song, but how hard is it?
this guitarist gives enter sandman the pain rating of 3 out of 10.
this song is perfect for the beginning guitarist, in that it gives them a sense of using powerchords to their fullest extent, however the solo is not that way. only after the newbie guitarist has mastered the rhythm may i suggest trying the solo. the solo isn't that difficult, so it's a good start to get solo techniques down such as double note bends and the like.
i wasn't able to play the song using a wah-wah or a whammy bar like kirk, so i was stuck with just fingering it.
i break down the different parts of the songs in the annotations, if you're not interested in them, then you can always turn them off.
