Cog
as the local musical scene continues to get saturated with the same generic blends of music, cog breaks away and defines themselves through their own sound. combining hardcore rock music with jazz saxophones and melodic guitars, cog has crafted a sound recognizable as their own, and a sound which has garnered them fans both in and out of the philippines .
with the release of several eps and a debut album in 2006, cog has earned devoted followers who eagerly await each show and album. these fans flocked to dagupan and baguio to cheer cog on during the tower of doom siege tour , and screamed and sang along with the band at all three of their pulp summer slam appearances. despite the underground nature of their music, cogs unique sound has made waves all over the philippines , as can be seen in the numerous requests the band gets to play in provinces as far as iloilo or cagayan de oro.
at the moment, cog is enjoying constant airplay on mtv with their two videos collapse and stabbing at the shoulders of giants. they are currently in the studio writing new material for their upcoming album, to be released under tower of doom records
