This was the most wonderful and amusing night of entertainment.we were entertained by william marshall 1748 - 1833(duncan chisholm), niel gow, 1727 - 1807 (iain macfarlane), james hill , 1811 - 1853(greg lawson) ,james scott-skinner 1843 -1927,captain simon fraser (alasdair fraser) and here you will see james scott-skinner 1843 -1927,(bruce macgregor ). the evening was brilliantly compared by robbie shepherd (allan henderson) and each performer was accompanied by the great shetland pianist, violet tulloch (andy thorburn)
.note how neil gow and william marshall are overcome at the end of the performance by james scott-skinners brilliance. the whole evening was adjudicated by aonghas grant, who is himself a living legend of scottish fiddle music. at the end of the evening we were treated to a tune from tim and ross, 2 young brothers, attending the blazin in beauly fiddle school, who are simply brilliant.not surprisingly, they won the award.
